receipt of your despatch No.439 of the Wth (stober lưới, in regard to the proposal to write off the

mam of 17,702,65 on masount of the misappropriations

of the Treasury Jhroff Chau Lars,

2. It appears to me that as $1,000 have been

recovered from his sureties it would be more proper

to deduct that sum from the amount to be written off,

loaring only the sum remaining to be recovered from

the sureties to be credited to forfeitures. On that basia I convey to you my approval of the writing off)
